If you’ve ever had to move a lot of coral from one location to another, you know that bagging each coral individually can be really tedious. It is important to keep your coral from touching each other during transport, so if you are moving a lot of coral, here’s my safe and easy solution for you.

Nice… real nice… I was just wondering about how to go about collecting a big bunch of varied coral off a fellow reefer without going nuts with bags and boxes… only down the road so a blanket for insulation (it is the UK after all 😉 ) and we should be good to go … this is where I realise I’m fresh out of egg crate!

What are those rocks after the filter sock for. Do the become a nitrate sump
Great tip! Also for larger colonies the five gallon buckets work great for transporting. Everyone has empty (salt) buckets and crate hiding around and if not, a short trip to the store can situate that.
This is by far the best moving advice I have ever heard. My job often has me move from place to place so it is really good to have this grand tidbit of information. Thanks
