I agree 100%. The only caveat I'd add is that corals that come from hobbyists with well-established tanks are generally better than "fresh off the boat" colonies that are purchase, fragged, and turned over in a matter of days.
The complaint is that many buyers in local clubs buy locally because they trust a particular person and the quality of their corals. It can be somewhat deceptive if they think that they're getting a frag from someone who has sustained the colony for years when in reality they're getting a 2 day old un-recovered frag.
As in all capitalistic markets, let the buyer beware. You know which shops you do and don't buy fish/corals from, so think twice about whether you're really getting a deal from an unknown seller.

Luis...even if you change brands, the new bulbs might have a different spectrum since they are new. As bulbs get older, they lose their punch and the spectrum shifts. Replacing the bulbs returns the light in your tank to their full power/spectrum and your tank needs time to adjust.

If you changed brands, then yes, you'd need to also ramp up your photoperiod. I find a brand that I like and one that works for my tank (good color, good coral growth) and I stick with it.

Luis...yep...same as you use for food. Its also sometimes called "white wine vinegar"

For quantity, the more is better...you really can't overdose it when it comes to cleaning. If you were using 3 gallons of water to 100% submerge your skimmer, then I'd use a 1/2-1 quart of vinegar.

If I could understand is something like this:

Photoperiod from T5 white 8:00 to 7:00 ant T5 Blue 9:00 to 8:00

So you are suggesting that when new bulbs are inserted that the photoperiod becomes slower like this:

1st week 8:00 to 6:00 white 9:00 to 7:00 blue
2nd week 8:00 to 7:00 white 9:00 to 8:00 blue

Something like that
