    I’ve heard that the TDS of your RO/DI system can spike when it first starts if you install an auto shut off like you describe? Do you worry about this or is the overall affect not enough to worry about?

    Thanks and I love the show. I wouldn’t be attempting this hobby without it.

  • Dale…this is true. I don’t worry about it as when my RODI system runs, I let it make at least 5 gallons so the TDS spike gets dilluted. The TDS in my barrel is between 0-2.

    Can you tell me more on how this works, just a side note for you my RODI unit is fed by a sink faucet with a pull knob on the head of the faucet and this is a utility sink that can stay on.
