is it better for a wet skim or a dry skim?? also i cnt find the video on your site about the 3 easy step it get ph to stay high and one of your tips was to put the intake air line outside will this make the protein skimmer less effective?

One type of skim isn’t necessarily better than another, but I prefer a wet skim. A wet skim pushes more of the solid waste into the collection cup vs. leaving it stuck in the neck of the skimmer which makes your skimmer run less efficiently.

Here is the low pH video

The skimmer line run outside probably cuts down a little on the air that actually gets to the skimmer, but I haven’t seen any drop in efficiency of my skimmer.
