Hi mark, I have been looking at LEDs and just wanted to know which light you would lean towards, radion or the sol?

  • Chris Kennedy says:

my Vote is for a Hanna Magnesium Checker. Great show Mark

  • Virgil Smith says:

Thanks for the vid.. I have started using the Hanah checkers too. I started with the phosphate and will be getting the calcium for Christmas.

    Awsome segment
    Wish it was longer

  • Carl says:

    Mark,
Wondering if there is a potential flaw in my method of measuring the sample when testing with the Hannah calcium checker: 6 drops registers 0.1ml on the syringe exactly every time. I’m surprised no one has mentioned this, or is it because it’s not a recommended method? if not, why? I get expected results this way that are consistent with normal calcium swings and that respond to dosing as expected. For me at least, it’s easier to count drops than to line up that black syringe on a tiny black line.

    Mark, great video.
Can’t wait till MACNA comes to the east coast.

Really cool stuff, love to travel to a show like that sometime soon, wallet may not like it, but anyhow.

Thanks for taking us on a tour Mark, keep up the good work.

  • Brian Davis says:

Nice Mark! I agree, forget NO3 checker, Mg+ all the way and in Pink!

What a great product! My time is limited and I want fast accurate test results. I can test everything in my system in approximately 15-20 min. I threw out all the color/chemical testers I don’t need and will never switch back.

Ugh! 48 hrs down and only 12 more to go (:

    See ya!

    B-

Mark, I’m relatively new to the hobby and recently acquired a tank from a Hard Core Reefer. I wish I would have come upon your sight sooner but never the less, I watch everything and LEARN! My corals are doing fantastic and I love it!!! What a great service you are providing. Thanks for everything. You clarify lots for me and have given me solid information and great re-sources to reach out to. Keep up the great work!!!! TP

Mark, Thanks for the info about the new Aqua Illumination new LED system, I’ll be waiting for the release to the public.

  • Lucas says:

I was at MACNA too. I can’t wait to get my hands on the Thrive stuff. I talked to them for a good half hour about their products and they seem cool. Do you know how I get them at my LFS? And also how do they work with a maintenance company?

Do you know if the Radions can work with the vortechs through an APEX?

    Thanks!

  • Curtis says:

@Lucas Mark uses an Apex on his 90g. He has Vortechs and a Radion (see his expirement http://mrswt.wpenginepowered.com/mr-saltwater-tanks-radion-experiment-update/). He wouldn’t use it if it didn’t work.

Looks like a lot of new equipment/toys. Bye-bye retirement fund…

  • Donnie says:

Do you know when and where we can buy the two little fishes food injector?

  • Donnie…it isn’t available yet. I’m not sure when it will be available.
